Scent Stability and Batch Consistency: What to Check in a Mist Formula

Confirm the scent in the actual base

A fragrance oil can smell different once it sits in an alcohol or water-based mist base. Judge the scent on a sample in your final formula, not on the raw oil. Check color, clarity and odor again after several days in the bottle with the real pump fitted.

Ask for stability testing where it matters

Accelerated storage at higher temperature and light exposure is the usual way to spot discoloration, haze or scent drift. Testing scope depends on formula and target market, and we agree it with you per project. No test can promise how long a scent lasts on skin, so we do not make that claim.

Hold bulk to the approved sample

Mass production starts only after you approve the bulk sample, and that sample is the reference for the order. ISO 22716 and GMP require batch documentation, so each lot can be traced to its materials and filling record. Compare your first delivery against the approved sample before you release the next order.

    Choose a fragrance direction or send a reference. Vegan formulas are available. Alcohol-based and water-based bases behave differently in cost, scent throw and freight class, so decide this early.

Production follows ISO 22716 and GMP, the cosmetic good manufacturing practice framework that covers batch records, hygiene, materials control and traceability. Our factory is SMETA audited, and audit documents can be shared for your supplier review. We state FDA registration only where we hold the documents for it.

Formula and label compliance is checked case by case for each target market: the US, the EU, the UK and Gulf countries. The EU, for example, requires a Responsible Person, a safety assessment and declaration of listed fragrance allergens on the label. Alcohol-based mists may be classed as dangerous goods for air or sea freight, so we confirm the formula before freight is quoted.

    Starts after bulk sample approval. Bulk lead time is about 25–30 days, run on 16 automated lines in a 40,000 square meter factory. The date is agreed in the contract.

  5. Inspection and shipment

    Inspection, shipment, then balance paid against a copy of the BL.
